Men! Do you care if a woman has ugly feet? Women! Does it gross you out if a guy has dirty fingernails?

I hate guys with dirty anything!!!Men! Do you care if a woman has ugly feet? Women! Does it gross you out if a guy has dirty fingernails?
feet are feetMen! Do you care if a woman has ugly feet? Women! Does it gross you out if a guy has dirty fingernails?
dirty fingernails are gross and my feet are cute.
i totally CANNOT have a woman who has ugly feet! that is a requirement 4 me. i keep my hands %26amp; feet emaculant, so she cannot be jacked up! besides, if her feet are jacked up, then somethings wrong with the ';twizod';
Nice feet is a must
dirty black fingernails = nasty!! :(
Not really dirty fingernails, but I can't stand nasty feet....YUCK!!
Yes, it does! I like a man with soft hands and manicured nails.
yes it does I am a man
As a man, I don't care about a woman's feet.
No it doesn't bother me if a guy has dirty fingernails. I think it means he is a strong man and works hard. They should however clean them once in a while lol.
I do, actually. I have a foot fetish so I'm a little biased... but I'd find it a hindrance regardless.
beauty is in the eye of the beholder
i'd prefer their hands to be clean and nice like wit lotion if they gonna wanna be puttin they hands on me - ya know?
I'm not feeling dirty fingernails or ugly feet on a man.

Caring for fingernails...?

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/nails/W鈥?/a>

I've been biting my nails all my life, but have recently managed to stop (about 4 months now!)

However I was checking out the website above, to get an idea on how to care for my nails now. And noticed I don't have Lunula's on my nails(see diagram on website).....is this something to be concerned about, or is it normal because of my nail biting or w/e?Caring for fingernails...?
i don't really think there's somthin to b worried about... ask ur mom about it or a dermatologist to check it out np gd luckCaring for fingernails...?
i don't think you should be worried as i have a lunula on my thumbs and not on any of my other fingers. if you are Even more worried about it then i suggest that you should visit your Doctor to see what he says.
almost everyone has got the lunula visible, nothing to be concerned about..but as your nails grow longer and healthier (since you stopped nail biting) the lunula becomes less and less visible
You have Lunula's on your nails. You cant see them because you have not taken care of your nails. In short they are called the, half moon. That is also the shape of them.

All you have to do is push back your cuticles, and keep them pushed back, regularly. You can even cut the cuticles off, with cuticle clippers, or you can use plain nail clippers. These clippers are sold at beauty supply stores, drug stores, and department stores, in the cosmetic sections. Also you can buy cuticle removers, and cuticle softeners, that you apply to the cuticles. Once you get the cuticles under control they are easy to maintain.

I'm glad you quit biting your nails. There is all sorts of yucky stuff under your nails!
Lunula exists ( as I heard ) because of loss of calcium , heard once peeps talking about this girl who had plenty , so they were like '; man , u gotta lotta loss ';

so , maybe its coz of the calcium maybe not , check it out online i think u'll get the reason ..
yes this is someting to be concerned about i suggest you get nail strengthiner so your nails will be stronger and nicer .

(ps.try to keep up with the habit of Non biting your nails)

It doesnt gross me out if a guy has dirty fingernails, thats a good sign of a man who's not afraid to get dirty, and not afraid to work :)

As for the feet- I'm a woman, but yuck it would bother me to have ugly feet! lolMen! Do you care if a woman has ugly feet? Women! Does it gross you out if a guy has dirty fingernails?
No CheeToesMen! Do you care if a woman has ugly feet? Women! Does it gross you out if a guy has dirty fingernails?
I am not a man...and I know for fact MEN DO NOT LIKE WOMAN WITH UGLY FEET. Yes it grosses me out if your finger nails are filthy or you bite them UGGGGGGGGGGG.
I don't mind at all...personally I feel that he is a hard working masculine man if he has dirty finger nails.
I don't really see her feet, for the most part they are right above my shoulders past my head, so I cant see them.
Men with dirty finger nails gross me out.
its really gross to see men with dirty fingernails
im a female and i hate it when males have ugly feet or long dirty fingernails... those are my two pet peeves

Gals-Would you care if a guy you were dating kept forgetting to clip his fingernails? What if they got long?

My boyfriend has that problem, and I'm not sure what to do. Sometimes they get really long. I think he's just lazy about it. Any suggestions what to say or do?Gals-Would you care if a guy you were dating kept forgetting to clip his fingernails? What if they got long?
Tell him they scratch you and hand him the clippers.Gals-Would you care if a guy you were dating kept forgetting to clip his fingernails? What if they got long?
    lol mine never let's his get too long because he hates the feeling when they ';bend';
hi, thats an interesting question! lol! 20/F wondering the same thing... holla back
he doesn't have that problem cause just like mine when they start to grow they break off real easy most the time..
Believe it or not, once a week you should give him a manicure.

A lot of guys just forget. I don't think it's a lazy thing it's just not as important to us. We really don't go the whole nine yards that a woman does. If my girl gave me a manicure I would probably be thrilled as it would be one less thing I had to worry about.

I can remember I ALWAYS had to add windshield washer fluid in my g/f car. She just never thought of it and I didn't think she was lazy. it was just less important for her.
I forget mine all the time. Guys dont think about their nails the same as girls do. Plus nails a lil bit longer are usefull for all kinds of things.

Are health care professionals in your area allowed to wear acrylic fingernails?

no becuse they carry germs.........Are health care professionals in your area allowed to wear acrylic fingernails?
yes my friend works in the health care and she can but they have to be short and not wierd colors. Are health care professionals in your area allowed to wear acrylic fingernails?
    No
    nope

Guys: do you care about a girl's fingernails?

Are they important? Some girls keep them short, and some girls have these long ones. Do guys really care?Guys: do you care about a girl's fingernails?
I REALLY prefer short trimmed nails. It looks cleaner. Plus keeping long nails looking good are for ppl who are too high maintenance for me to be interested in.Guys: do you care about a girl's fingernails?
I don't care at all. Personally I just like regular plain finger nails if I had to choose. Finger nails are the last thing I look at. Women obsess over small things that do not matter to males.

My wife got a manicure recently and I didn't even notice any difference, even though she spent all that money for nothing.
I think as long as they're kept clean long or short is nice. I am very sensitive to the smell of nail polish and remover, I think there is no worse smell on the entire planet!
i think good fingernails make quite a difference ... i like women's hands! i know it's a bit shallow in a way but what can I say... I'm only human
they care more about sex than anything
I do,prolly more than I should. Its like if they dont have nice fingernails, then buh bye. its weird
don't care and I probably wouldn't even notice if you went and paid someone to have them look nice
thats a good question. im always wondering that too.

(i like your nickname by the way ';why so serious';!) haha..
Why would you care about that?
    guys do not care.
    no not really

Do guys even notice/care about a girl's fingernails?

I bite mineDo guys even notice/care about a girl's fingernails?
As long as they're clean and neatly shaped, I don't think guys would care too much.Do guys even notice/care about a girl's fingernails?
Not a guy, but guys prolly pay just as much attention to your nails as they do to the necklace you are wearing.

But biting your nails, is kinda a gross habit. So you prolly should never bite them in front of a guy you like.
This girl i work with always has floresent green or neon pink or some outrages color. I think it looks stupid and tacky, and I would never date her. However I appriciate a girl who wants to look her best. so the short awenser yeah sorta
first of all you are very pretty in your picture lol im a girl but im not bi or lez dont worry lol but no they dont or atleast my boyfriend doesnt! :)

Would a high class resturant care what color there waitresses fingernails are?

my names are bright fushia........will they care?Would a high class resturant care what color there waitresses fingernails are?
They might.Would a high class resturant care what color there waitresses fingernails are?
They would care and they have the right to tell you what colors are appropriate or inappropriate.
If it's a truly nice restaurant, they'll want you to look professional and refined--not gaudy or tacky. Bright fuschia is pretty wild, and not appropriate for a classy restaurant. That would be fine for McDonald's, but not a decent restaurant. Also, make sure they're well groomed (not dragon lady long acrylics or bitten/jagged).
um, what's your definition of high class?

If your high class is the same as my high class, then yes they will care. Your nails should be short and neutral. Your appearance is part of the ambiance and environment that people pay the big bucks for. Otherwise, they'd just go to Denny's and get their food served to them by chicks with pink weaves and six inch long acrylic nails.
Yes, I manage a less than high class restaurant, and tell my servers to use clear or nude colored polish.
They shouldn't but there are some resturants that don't want waitresses fingernails painted, or they don't want fake nails.. so you never know! You might call in and ask before you go to work or go in for an application.
in just about all food manufacturing nailpolish is a NO-No cuz it can and will chip and get into your food NO waitress shoul have on nail polish
Yes, they would care. If you are to work at a ';high class'; place, you will have to appear in a manner that does not distract the client猫le from each other and the food. You are to be an invisible part of the background until needed and, when needed, to be there immediately.

In return for all this, the tips are good.
I have waitressed and have been a manager of a classy place. I would go without at first. Then ask the manager in person. Some people look at it as tacky...don't know why.

    Good luck!
many do. the concern is that when colored nail polish chips, it's obvious and can look tacky. also, no one wants to find bright red (or fuscia) nail polish chips in their food. that's why most restraunts will let you have clear nailpolish but not colors if you handle food.
Nails should be nothing but natural.

Think about it - glitter and paint can flake off into food and drinks. Eew.
A professional appearance is always a good impression.
Yes. I even remember See's Candies being very strict about the nail polish color of their employees.
    YES!

In food service, never wear bright nail polish. It is simply not done. I was taught that when taking classes on restaurant management as a teen.

The reason given was that customers that noticed chipped nails associated it with poor hygine. So no polish or a very pale polish.
    yes
Bright fuschia is not classy - it is a little trashy so yes they will likely care. I would just go with clear or light pink.

  • Do men really care about what women's fingernails look like?

Depends, personally I can't stand to see a woman with dirty untaken-care of nails, however fake nails often give a real tacky or in some cases even slutty look, Just my humble opinionDo men really care about what women's fingernails look like?
Of course they do, I mean it shows a lot about the persons personality, you know whether it has been kept, tidy and looked after, if they weren't you usually don't bother looking after your other half.

This doesn't make sense does it? You see I'm a freak, I look a guys nails to see what sort of person they are.. yes strange!Do men really care about what women's fingernails look like?
I do yeah.In my eyes,if a woman looks after her nails, that are on show all the time, then she's gonna look after her down below bits as well, but if her nails are crappy, then she ain't gonna be bothered about the rest is she?
I would think men would notice if a woman has dirty fingernails and be turned off by that (who wouldn't) however I would say the majority of men don't really care if the nails are long or short or have nailpolish/designs on them.
No but they like it when it looks nice besides they don't wanna be holding a man's hand lmfao :L

And yeah like Bonnie B said: we don't do our nails for men, w do it for our self.

But don't have yellow nails xD
No. Why would they? False nails are pointless, you can't do anything with them on. Well, my mum can't.
As long as they're not yellow and pointy like a witch then no.

    I mean yikes =%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; http://blog.syracuse.com/newstracker/200鈥?/a>
No, they just care about love and not nails as long as the women looks decent and is loving and caring towards him.
If I can work in construction, and box, and work on cars, and yet still keep mine in good condition (I play guitar too) then I should hope a lady can keep hers in good order!
I hope not coz mine aren't great. Anyway I think false nails look tacky and gross, why have them so long like claws as well !!!
Yes. The fake ones look horrible, not attractive at all. What also annoys me is when women scratch off the nail polish.
if they are long I hate them, if they are painted blue or black I just have to shake my head and wonder what you were thinking
We don't do our nails for men, we do them for ourself :~)
not really as long as there not like a horrible yellow or something.
Probably not, but if she does, you had better or sleep on your own.
I think they like clean, well shaped clear polish or pretty polish
it jus depends my fiance hates women who wear red nail polish...but i still wear it anyway lol
    No they really dont
ummm well they cant be brown and manky put it that way

Men: Do you really care what women's fingernails look like?

My wife does this too me all the time. Ooh I got my nails done, see how pretty? Sure hun, looks great.

I don't give a rat's behind what they look like.

Are you like me, or does a lady sporting a nice set of nails help her beauty in your eyes?Men: Do you really care what women's fingernails look like?
I could care less about her nails.

I could think of a few other uses for that 50 bucks they just spent on vanity.

They only do that to impress their friends.Men: Do you really care what women's fingernails look like?
Look, it is like this. It is another matter that she might be obsessed with her nails, but on the other hand her pre-dominant love language is ';affirmation';. It pleases her when people affirms her. For most of us ';affirmation'; is our pre-dominant love language. But, for you affirmation is not the pre-dominant love language. Hence you get annoyed when you wife asks for your affirmations.
A few men notice or care, maybe 1 in 10,000, the rednecky kind who like bleach blonds mostly, in my experience. I do my nails occasionally but it's more for my own amusement than anyone else's.
The men in my life do . . . they like them cut short and kept clean, so when I scratch them it only draws a little blood and doesn't require a tetanus shot or antibiotics.
Women do it for other women, its other women who judge them more.
if women don't take care of herself specially their fingernails they will be discusting
All they care is how good they'll feel being scratched behind their back during love making.
No, well, not unless you are a Metro/Homo sexual. This is not speaking for everyone but most ';normal'; guys.
I'll look at a girl but i won't be looking at her nails, for sure.
Women could save a lot of time and money, because we love the, just the way they are.
Doesn't really matter much to me........... as long as her butt looks hot.........
She won't be happy if she sees this question, Will she?

    Baby care/fingernails?

I accidentally tore off my 3 month old son's pinky fingernail and I am very worried about it. He seems not to be in any sort of pain but I don't think he knows what pain is yet.

    My question is..

How long will it take for his pinky fingernail to grow back?Baby care/fingernails?
Kids heal pretty fast. I am sure it hurt him but he doesn't have the 'expectation' of pain that we experienced folks do. From personal experience:

I smooshed my finger and once my nail came off it was tender for a few days. I had flaky skin that was extra tender but then it was ok once the flaky skin came . I just had to be careful not to smash it again because that hurt. I smooshed it the first week of December and it has grown back fully as af the last week or two. So it took me about 4 months to grow back a full thumb nail.Baby care/fingernails?
It won't hurt him! Babies fingernails are like paper, really easily torn! It will only take a few days to grow!
He knows pain. You know pain from the day you are born if it hurt him he would let you know...

Did you pull the whole thing off? If yes it may take a LONG time for it to grow back...
babies known pain in the womb-if you watch abortion vieos if the baby is far enough along it will flench when it is stabbed!

I would call the doctor and ask what to do. How did you do that by the way?
He knows very well what pain is, if he were in pain, he'd cry a lot, it will grow back, don't worry.

Ive had a fingernail fungi fo bout 2 yrs it hurts really bad it gets pusy n nasty how can i take care of this?

you definitely need to get rid of fungus!

for me worked very well ZetaClear! I think it is the fastest way to get rid of fungus! Nail fungus is tough to treat. The extracts in Zetaclear provide the most powerful therapeutic effect for healthy looking nails.

Obviously, you can't spray herbicide on your feet or hands! The next best thing is Zetaclear. It's made from all-natural homeopathic ingredients. This product works time after time and results are guaranteed. This extra strength solution is designed to be as aggressive and strong as possible, without causing irritation.

It worked fast and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry ZetaClear but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.zetaclear.com/?aid=749165

Guys, do you care if a girl paints her fingernails or even if she puts fake nails on?

Just wondering.Guys, do you care if a girl paints her fingernails or even if she puts fake nails on?
i kind of like it when my girlfrind gets her nails done but its not a big deal if she doesntGuys, do you care if a girl paints her fingernails or even if she puts fake nails on?
To tell u the truth i don't care if a girl get's her nails or hair all nice as long as she bathes and cleans up a little. Other guys may have different opinions but that's what my pals n I say.
Honestly, that's not what they look for in a girl.

They don't care, and most don't even notice.
Dont have fake ones, they tend to be WAY over the top and look, plus feel, unnatural.
it,s ok with me! as long as she don,t get silly about it.
well it doesn't hurt to be feminine
my guy friend says he doesnt care

Survey: How do you take care of your fingernails? (gender doesn't matter)?

Do you paint your nails? Why? Guys, have you painted your nails in the past? Do you currently? Why?

This is for a class, I am doing a paper on the cultural and gender basis of nail care. Give me any information you see as relevant, even if you never do more than cut your nails.Survey: How do you take care of your fingernails? (gender doesn't matter)?
I keep my nails trim and shapely [or I try to, rather, lol] with a nail fail or emory board. I rarely, if ever, use clippers because if I keep them filed down, I don't need to cut them. I prefer to have longer nails, so I only file them down to shape them, not make them shorter.

I love to paint my nails as well. I like to use a clear white colour; it shimmers and looks dainty. I rarely use solid colours because I feel like they cover up my nail and hides what I've worked hard on.

I do this because I'm taking good care of my nails and it makes me feel accomplished that I'm keeping my nails healthy.

Also, when I make them look pretty, I feel pretty, and it boosts my confidence.Survey: How do you take care of your fingernails? (gender doesn't matter)?
I wash my nails while in the shower or casually washing hands, just a quick scrub. Painting them every now and then. I cut them every 2-3 weeks once they're long and I end up poking myself or others :(.

Oh I do it because having dirt under my nails makes me feel dirty and it makes people think you don't really take care of yourself. And it looks bettter clean lol.
    Keep them moisturized.

Vaseline has a hand lotion that makes your nails grow stronger.
I'm a dude...i have never painted my nails. I pretty much just started using nail clippers. I used to chop them with scissors or bite them down. Both are bad habits.

Keep them moist with lotion or oils! This keeps them from becoming dry.

How should I go about taking care of my fingernails and keep them growing and nice looking?

try stimulating the matrix with massage every day, the matrix is right behind the cuticle and is where the nail starts to grow. Stimulating the matrix will help your nails grow faster. 1Garlic clove, peeled

Fresh and thick labneh, as required

    1. Cut open the garlic clove so that you can remove the tiny green germ loaded with the infamous and over-whelming smell.

    2. Chop the garlic to a pulp.

    3. Mix this pulp with an equal quantity of fresh thick labneh as is required.

    4. Massage this thick paste into your nails, making sure you concentrate on the matrix of the nails.

    5. Repeat twice a week for best results.

    6. also better if you put on gloves so the smell doesn't annoy you at night.

7.Also, buffing off the nails daily will improve their condition most wonderfully.

I'm a 17 year old straight guy that needs advice on how to take care of his fingernails and cuticles. Help?

I have bit my nails and cuticles all my life, despite many resolutions to stop. I've gotten a lot better with my nails, but my cuticles are constantly white, cracked and dry. I am an OCD type person, and therefore find myself continuously biting these white, cracked, and dry cuticles, until they are clipped or bleeding. Any advice?I'm a 17 year old straight guy that needs advice on how to take care of his fingernails and cuticles. Help?
    Here's what I do:

Rub some vasaline or any type of oil specified for cuticles on your cuticles every day. Keep it moisturized to prevent the cracky look. I think it makes your cuticles a bit stronger and healthier too.

When you cut your nails, don't cut them too short but short enough so that they don't pass over the skin. File them to your desired length. Nail files keep the nails from being rough and jagged after you cut because you're shaping the nail.I'm a 17 year old straight guy that needs advice on how to take care of his fingernails and cuticles. Help?
there is a product that you can brush on your nails - it gives an awful taste.. it DOES help to make you stop chewing. Ask the pharmacist..it is also used for children to stop them from thumb sucking... When you notice your hands creeping toward your mouth...put them in your pockets...and get some chewing gum... get some lotion that is good for deep moisturizing...and rub them into your hands also... this is all a good combination to help you move away from it! but you have to begin!!
go and buy some cuticle repair creme and oil and put that on it every night. you can also try loading yoru nails and cuitcles up with baby lotion or baby oil b4 you go to bed and then put a sock on your hand.. that will help too
I used to do nails before nursing school. For cuticles like that I recommended neosporin as a cuticle cream and getting a pair of sharp cuticle nippers- only cut off the dried and dead stuff.
(lotion) they also make bitter stuff to put on your nails to deter you from biting them
get the dead sea fingernail package it will make your nails shine and have your hands smooth in no time trust me i have 2!
Get manicures once a month. My brothre does and he is the manliest man of all.
    wow what a turn on....not
put a perfume or smt on your hand that tastes terrible and mayb u wont bite them
i suggest go get a manicure.

1st- Wash hands with your favorite moisturizing soap. Scrub hands with a exfoliate (St. Ives Apricot Scrub) .Use a nail brush while under the sink. push down cuticle with your cuticle stick and trim with a cuticle cutter.

2nd- Cut and file nails if needed. I suggest a nail block (tweezerman nail block) instead of a metal file, its kinder on your nails. Dab a drop of cuticle oil on nail beds.Moisturize with night cream.

3- Coat nails with a nail growth serum (google) and then a clear coat of polish. Slip hands into moisture gloves (google) In the morning use an SPF lotion as normally.

You should try a skin peel for hands once a month. For add nail growth follow up with a vitamin (GNC hair, skin and nails for women)How do you take care of fingernails?
Eat calcium: milk, yogurt, cottage cheese *ESPECIALLY!, sour cream, yop, cheese, etc. Carrots also keep your nails strong and healthy, eat a carrot a day and your nails will be stronger. Don't wear too much nail polish and buy some kind of nail moisturizer.
you can smooth them by using a manicure stick

biting them wont help it that much.

Fingernail care for a reformed nail-biter?

After 25 years of biting my fingernails, I finally gave up the habit several weeks ago. Last night, I nearly blinded myself while removing my contact lenses. Today, I bought emery boards and fingernail clippers and went to town. So now that I've already butchered them, I have some questions:

    1) My mother once told me that you should always cut your nails straight across to avoid ingrown nails. My nails are now all square and mannish. Is there a safe way to round them without causing problems?

    2) Even though I was really careful while clipping, most of them ';flaked'; to some degree (small chips where the top layer of the nail flaked away). How can I avoid this?

    3) I used an emery board to try and smooth rough edges, but it seemed to make them even rougher! I'm obviously doing something wrong. How do I properly file my nails?

    4) Any other tips? I'm a low maintenance gal with no interest in nail polish, but I'm willing to perform quick tasks to keep my nails looking nice and healthy.Fingernail care for a reformed nail-biter?
I can't help you with how to file, as I'm not sure myself, but I can tell you that putting about one coat on a week of clear polish will keep them looking clean and fresh. I bit my nails all my life and recently quit too. I am just trying to keep them polished because I know if they look nice theres more of a chance that I won't pick at them. Also, keep lotion on your hands to keep your cuticles from getting dry. You will want to pick at them if they do. And even if you are really low maintenance a manicure every once in a while doesn't hurt and they could definitely tell you how to file them correctly. Good luck!Fingernail care for a reformed nail-biter?

  • Infant Care Class and Fingernail Cutting?

I am doing an Infant Care and in the book they give you (all at my hospital) it says not to cut their nails for two weeks after birth. Why is this? What did you all do? I have quite a bit of those scratch mittens on hand, but it would still be nice to cut her nails right away.Infant Care Class and Fingernail Cutting?
I never heard of that. I can't think of any reason why not to cut their nails if the nails are long and will scratch. My younger son was born with the fingernails of a supermodel, so the nurses cut them when they gave him his first bath. Infant Care Class and Fingernail Cutting?
You can bite them off I guess they tell you not to because it's very easy to cut the baby while trimming their nails when they are so young and you don't really know when they'll move. At the hospital a nurse told me about this lady who was told not to cut the baby's nail and she cut them while in the hospital she cut the baby's finger and it was hard to stop the bleeding just from a little cut on the baby's finger. It's better to be safe than sorry I put mittens on and waited at least 2 weeks if you need to trim they earlier do with your teeth.
I did wait at least a week or two before I did anything to her nails because I had read that somewhere. I believe it's because their nail beds are still so fragile, that it could mess their nails up of they could come off. For awhile you can just peel them because they are so thin. I really suggest getting the small swiss army knife (like $10 at WalMart) and using the scissors to cut the nails. My husband had done this with my stepdaughter, and he suggested it. I thought he was nuts, but it's wonderful. I can see exactly where I'm about to cut. It goes from the side instead of coming from the top.
Honestly, babies finger nails dont have to be cut in the first two weeks. They are not hard, they are very thin and soft - the actually peel right off, so they arent in any danger of scratching because the nails arent hard enough (they'll just bend against their skin). If the nails get long, you can just peel them off.
I took a class and they said the same thing, not sure why. We used a small nail file for a few weeks, then the nails seemed big enough to actually warrant using nail clippers.

We didn't use scratch mittens, baby's like to suck on their hands for comfort (they do so in the womb too). I didn't want to take that away from her by covering her hands.
This might sound gross, but I just bite my babies nails. The clippers are so big for their little fingers, and the nails are so soft it was difficult to file. While he's nursing, I nibble the nails, and then when I switch breasts (or positions) i get the other hand.

    Good luck to you!
in one of my kits i got the baby nail clippers and a small slightly rounded pair of baby scissors. i cut my sons nails with the scissors until he was 3 months old. their nails are super thin and brittle i wouldn't use the clippers till they got a little stronger.
We cut Sophie's for the first time at like 7 days. They were not that long when she was born. We tired to use the mittens but she would NOT keep them on. I cut them because they needed to be trimmed, she was scratching herself.
Not sure, I've never heard of this. We had to cut Noah's nails a couple days after bringing him home because they were just too long. Can you imagine babies that go past their due date and not cutting their nails for two weeks? Yikes!
i cut my babies nails 5 days after coming home they get really long like quick they say the best time to cut is when there dosing off/sleeping...and u have to be really careful i was cutting my daughters nails today i cut her (tear)
If the baby gets a little cut when you are trimming there nails they are to little to fight off any infection. I trimmed my daughters at about 1.5 weeks because she was tearing her face up and she managed just fine.
thats crazy you have to ,,, its like little razors on their hands and they will cut themselves,,

How to take care of an ingrown fingernail?

    Hi,

I am a 12 year old girl and I think I might have an ingrown fingernail. I have had ingrown toenails before and they've been easy to take care of. My finger nail is super sore to the touch and in fact, it really hurts as I'm typing now! How can I help it?How to take care of an ingrown fingernail?
It's rather unusual to get an ingrown fingernail. If you tend to cut the nails too short, you can end up with one- but most often what you have is an infection of the nailbed or cuticle. Try soaking the finger in warm water, or applying moist heat to the spot. If you have an infection, that may help it form a spot and drain itself. For the pain, about all you can take is Tylenol. You also want to keep your fingers out of your mouth and resist the urge to nibble the nails- if you have that habit. It would also be a good idea to speak with a parent and get their help. If it doesn't improve, you will need to see a doctor about it before it gets worse. How to take care of an ingrown fingernail?
Can you easily lift it out from the skin? If you can, try cutting the nail. If not, go see the doctor. I kept getting ingrown toenails so the doctor surgically cut out the piece of toenail that was ingrown and put some sort of chemical on it to prevent that part of the nail from ever growing again. It worked really well but at the same time, my toenail is smaller than its supposed to be. You can also prevent it by putting a piece of cotton under the nail where it tends to get ingrown. Try that if it's in a spot where it's possible to do.

How do you care for a fingernail that's fallen off?

My boyfriend crushed his fingernail in the front door and it turned black and everything, and it's finally fallen off the other day. It's still really sensitive but it doesn't bleed anymore, but how long will it take for it to grow back? And how should we care for it until then, besides a band-aid?How do you care for a fingernail that's fallen off?
How should you care for the fingernail? Well, generally after it falls off you just throw it away...

As for the finger, it will heal itself. No special treatment needed other than being careful not to smash it again. It will grow back as fast as his fingernails grow.

    Fingernail Care?

I have nice natural nails with beautiful long luscious fingers. When manicured and painted they are a vision of loviness. Problem I have though is that they crack. They crack at the skin part so 1) It hurts and 2) You do not have uniform nails so it's either cut all your nails and start again or just leave it and hope that people aren't talking about the uneven nails.

My question is this... What can I do to my nails to get them to stop cracking so easy? I've tried this hot lotion treatment and that doesn't help. Is there anything out there that someone could recommend to help me with this problem?Fingernail Care?
sally hansen nail hardner. can purchase from most good salons and grocery stores. it has worked wonders for me, i have awesome long gorgeous nails and they never have cracked or broken and my hands are in water a lot as i am a nurse (and mum) so constantly washing my hands!

    good luck

lol, I have the same problem, very hard nails. However, I don't worry about them growing, it's really not a good thing to have long nails when you're gonna be throwing saddles around and picking horse hooves.....so I keep them cut, and they grow so stinkin' fast I have to trim them every couple days or so...

I have heard of this treatment that you put a cream on them then wear gloves over night, not sure of the name, but i heard it was good....
Fro, a serious Q from you?????

Sister, I can't help you, as I have the same problem (without the luscious fingers!)....so I'll be coming back to check the answers.

You could just become a lady of leisure, you know, so you don't ever have to worry about breaking a nail.....or stop typing so hard on the keyboard......haven't you taught that monkey to type yet????

    Always
I use both Prostrong nail care - Biofusion nail grafting serum (weekly) and Sally Hansen Vitamin E Moisturizing Nail and Cuticle Oil (daily).
I use that liquid bandage stuff. It isn't a perfect answer, but it sure does help repair. I have the same problem. I think it is from the alcohol skin sanitizer we have to use at work.
Maybe you could give your luscious fingers a rest by typing with your, oh so cute nose for a while?
super glue. I know it sounds crazy, but as soon as you see one start to crack, put some super glue to it and it should hold together.
Use nail glue to bond it together until it grows out.
Sorry Fro, sounds like a fungal infection . Get an antifungal cream and give it a try.
